Do you see what I see?

Growing up, I felt like I didn’t really look a lot like either of my parents. Sure, I shared some traits with them. I inherited my mother’s blue eyes and my father’s long fingers and toes. But, I was, by no means, a carbon copy of either one of them. David has always looked a lot like his dad. It’s even more special now that Don is no longer here. For 9 months we waited anxiously to see what Elliott would look like. And, we waited anxiously to see who he would look like. From day one, people have tried to analyze his features and pinpoint exactly who he looks like.  Some say he looks like David, others say he looks like me.  We’ve even had people compare him to David’s dad and my mom.  David and I like to say that “Elliott just looks like Elliott!”  We are having so much fun watching him grow up and change every day.  We are in love!  Here are a few pictures of Elliott looking like his parents…Do you see what I see?

  1. Okay, he looks like BOTH of you! Comparing the photos of David and Elliot, they look just alike. And then compare the pictures of you and Elliott, and Y’ALL look just alike, even down to the expressions! Crazy!

  2. Oh, and I LOVE the pic of Elliott sleeping sitting up. So sweet!

  3. Tricia – this is such a cute post! I love the shot of David and Don and then David and Elliott. And then Papa with both. Thanks for sharing all these sweet photos.

  4. Oh my…what an awesome blog post! I love it! Do you have all of those baby pictures of you and David at your house? I think our parents have all of ours.

You can really see that blond hair coming in on Elliott’s last picture. He won’t be bald forever!

  5. I am not sure why, but that picture of him in the Bumbo, is just too cute! I love it! This is a neat post, my all the amazing similarities.

  6. Ahem. I’m waiting (im)patiently for a Christmas update…

I NEED to see that little boy! I think he misses me.

  7. […] Father, Like Son When Elliott was a newborn he looked a lot like David.  I wrote this post more than a year ago on this same […]
