Just a House

We packed…

…we disassembled…

…we took pictures of our “lasts”…

…we moved boxes…

…and moved more boxes…

…and called movers to move the furniture. (but we didn’t take pictures of them)

And then, at last, we were done!

We said “goodbye” to our stuff for a few weeks…

…and “goodbye” to our little house forever.

It was hard to walk out the door one last time.

So many memories.  What a shame to leave the place they were made.  But, alas, a house is still just a house.  We will hold on to the memories.   And, for that, we are thankful.

  1. This post makes me tear up! I’m sentimental even about the car I drive, so a house would be hard to leave. And taking pics of the “lasts” –ack! But you’ll have pics of “firsts” pretty soon! Thinking of you guys as you’re nomads for the next little while!

  2. Ok – I am NOT a sentimental person at all – however your post made me a little misty!! Your old house was just so darn cute and so loved by ya’ll! I can’t wait to see pics of the new one! Happy 7th anniversary too!! I will never forget your wedding for several reasons. 1. The venue. – like nothing I have ever been to before or since. 2. I never forget your amazing wedding rings. 3. the choregraphed (sp) dance number – that was hilarious! 4. your wedding PICS! loved that photographer’s work! 5. Blake Holmes. Doesn’t he just ROCK?!
Happy bday too! Geez! Lots happening for you these days, Tricia!!
