365 Days

If I lived up to all of my perfect expectations as a mother I would have posted this video at 12:00 midnight on August 2.  I also would have breastfed for an entire year, never lost my patience with my child, and taught him to sign when he was a baby.  But, who am I kidding?  I am far from the perfect mother.  I have made more mistakes than I can count and I didn’t get this video posted anywhere close to Elliott’s second birthday.  Thank goodness perfection isn’t a requirement for being a parent!

You might remember this video from Elliott’s first year.   I intend to do this every year for as long as it makes sense.  (That was for you, honey.  No, I won’t be doing this when Elliott turns 72!  Silly man.) Gathering all of the photos and videos is so much fun for me.  I love to watch how much he changes from the first day of his year, to the last.  And, it reminds me just how many great times we have together.  The video is for our family to watch and remember.  Otherwise I would apologize for how long it is…41 mintues to be exact.  So, without further ado, here is a look into Elliott’s second year…all 365 days of it.

  1. Wow, I haven’t watched it yet but I intended to do one for Clarity this year and I haven’t even begun. I’m envious of you. I agree it is so much fun to see them change. You’ve inspired me to try and get hers done and I can’t wait to watch it!

  2. Wow! I loved it. I’m so jealous at how organized you are in capturing all of those precious memories of Elliott. My favorite is when he’s falling asleep while still eating in the high chair! Who do you know that went to SFA. My husband and I both graduated from SFA!
