Jude is TWO!!

Jude at two. He’s sweet and charming and always has time for a hug and a kiss.  He loves his mama best, but adores his daddy, too.  He’s silly.  He has the best belly laugh that’ll brighten up any day.  He continues to love music and asks for his favorite songs constantly.  He loves to be outside and loves bugs and bubbles!  He loves his brother, although they do butt heads at times.  One of our favorite things about Jude at two…he is polite!  He says “please” and “thank you” so well and genuinely means it.  It’s very refreshing and makes those tantrums much more doable for mom and dad!  He loves his Grandma and adores his Nonnie and pretends to call them on his phone all the time.  He has lots of words, most of them discernible.  He’s still a man of mischief and loves to makes messes.  And, he loves, loves, loves taking baths!

Little man, we could not love you more.  We are so thankful that God gave us you!

Last night as a 1 year-old

What is it about boys and their diapers??

Gifts out and ready for the birthday boy in the morning!  We saved the gifts from the party guests for his actual birthday.

Our traditional birthday streamers!

Elliott’s gift to Jude was this painting of a bug.  I thought this was so sweet and Jude loved it, too!

I wasn’t sure what we would do on Jude’s actual birthday, but I knew I wanted to do something fun with the boys.  David had to work and it was too last minute for friends to join us, but the three of us had a fantastic time at the museum!

Sweet 2 year-old Jude

The museum was so crowded with kids from schools, but we managed to hit several of the exhibits when they were cycling through others so it wasn’t too bad.

This was our second visit to GROSSOLOGY.  It was quite crowded so we hurried through to the digestive system slide…our favorite part.

Jude coming down the small intestine!

We hit the kids’ room at just the right time and had it practically to ourselves.

As I mentioned before, this boy loves BUGS!  He spent most of his time in here checking out all the creepy crawlies in their cages.

We enjoyed a lunch from home in the courtyard as usual, but splurged on a birthday pudding parfait!

No bib = No shirt!

After lunch it was time for some water play!

I suppose it was bound to happen…glad we saved the water til the end!

And, this is the face of a very happy birthday boy!

While Jude was napping Elliott helped me make cupcakes.  He loves being the big brother who doesn’t have to nap!

We had a nice dinner with Nonnie and afterward opened the gifts!

I never thought I’d be one to allow so much Elmo into our house, but that little monster sure does make our little man smile.  Needless to say, Jude received quite a few Elmo gifts this year!

And, a house for capturing BUGS!  We have caught quite a few roly polys, some earth worms, beetles, and even a grasshopper since!

I got the idea for this little alphabet photo book on Pinterest . It took very little time to throw together and I was so happy with how it turned out!

Here’s a peek inside.

What a great day we had celebrating our Jude!
